My designs start as hand-drawn motifs around a particular theme. These motifs are then imported to Photoshop where I create repeating patterns and individual designs. I often play around with different colourways and textures before settling on a design that I'm happy with. To print my designs onto my products I use a process called sublimation which involves a heat press and special inks.

My business began in 2021 when, like so many others during the pandemic, I had to change direction work-wise. I worked in tourism and hospitality for over 30 years but always had a passion for interior design - I love putting together different ‘looks’ for my home. Nowadays I am lucky enough to indulge my love of pattern and colour by creating designs from scratch and making the products you see in my shop.

Living in the beautiful highlands of Scotland means I can visit remote coastal landscapes where the wild seas and unspoiled beaches provide me with plenty of inspiration. However, I am originally from the vibrant city of Glasgow and I’m still a city girl at heart. Give me a city break anywhere in the world and you’ll find me taking photos of architectural details, patterns and textures, all of which inspire my future designs. My favourite pastime? Sitting in a busy street cafe, people-watching and savouring the details around me - the frothy top of a freshly brewed cappuccino, a brightly coloured woollen scarf, lobster pots on the quayside, ornate cornices, shop signs…
